This finely refurbished property in a peaceful picturesque village is only ten minutes from Cheddar Gorge and Caves, and an ideal base for walking and mountain biking in the Mendips and the lush countryside. Within easy reach of the areas many attractions. Wells, with magnificent cathedral and Bishops Palace; Wookey Hole, the renowned Clarks Village shopping outlet in Street, the resorts of Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare, Longleat House and Safari Park and Bath and Glastonbury. Further afield lies Exmoor National Park with the famous resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth, joined by cliff railway. Fishing, golf, riding, 2 miles, are available locally. Shop and pub serving food 300 yards.

Reviews
Cottage had everything we could have asked for. Extremely comfortable and well equipped. Newly re-furbished and decorated to a high standard. Could find no fault with the accomodation and facilities. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Good location for Cheddar Gorge and many other places. We enjoyed our meals at the Riverside Pub/Restaurant and recommend it. Food excellent and reasonably priced. All in all a great holiday and location and would be happy to visit the cottage and area again.

With its lovely beaches beautiful countryside and fascinating history, dating back to the times of the Ancient Britons, Somerset makes a wonderful cottage holiday destination. And the best way to experience the county’s many attractions is from your base in one of our holiday cottages in Somerset. Bath has some of Britain’s most majestic Georgian architecture, as well as the famous Roman Baths (not mention great shopping). Then there’s Wells, England’s smallest city. Wandering around the cathedral close, with its unspoilt medieval lanes is like taking a step back in time. And for a real sense of mystery, there’s Glastonbury (home of the world-famous music festival), supposedly the site of King Arthur’s mythical Avalon. All await you on one of our Somerset cottage holidays. The county has more than its fair share of beach resorts too. The Grand Pier at Weston-Super-Mare is superb, as is the wide beach here, while Minehead and Burnham-on-Sea offer a choice of traditional seaside pleasures. Meanwhile, for nature lovers there’s the wild landscape of Exmoor, and the Mendip and Quantock Hills, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cheddar Gorge is truly stunning. Great for real Cheddar cheese too!
